To create a modern home with a solid, rustic feel by incorporating natural riverstone walls, exposed timbers beams, wooden floors and timber joinery. All of these elements emphasise the natural beauty of the Tuki Tuki River Valley.

Challenges, problems and solutions
As the original design was over budget, we had to try to reduce costs while still incorporating as many natural materials into the design as possible. This was acheived with the cooperation of the client and a determination by everyone involved to maintain the rustic beauty and feel of the original design.
