SKOPE OF WORK A new 588m2 early childcare facility incorporating outdoor play areas, six play and sleeping rooms staff room, kitchen and carparking.

CHALLENGES While excavating a large amount of hard fill we struck unstable ground.  The remedy, filling to a depth of 1.6m, had the positive side effect of doubling as a solid foundation, which meant the overall costs of foundations for the client were reduced.

HIGHLIGHTS The architectural design featured a lot of lines and fine detail. Focus and attention on the part of ourselves and our subcontractors meant the design intent was acheived, resulting in a stunning facility.
